Upright headstones rise above the ground and can take almost any shape — from a classic rectangular marker to an elaborate curved or sculpted silhouette for a single person or a couple. Paul uses Monucad, a professional monument design system, to show you thousands of options and help you find the one that feels right.
If your cemetery has specific rules about headstone style or dimensions, we will verify those requirements for you before any design work begins — so your family never has to navigate that alone. Our staff is trained in precision sandblast engraving and letters every stone on site at the cemetery, meaning your loved one's marker is never collected, transported, or put at risk of damage.

How Paul Walks You Through the Design

Choose a style — upright or flat, for one or two people. Benches are also an option. Paul will help you understand what each shape looks and feels like before you decide.

Select your material — granite, bronze, or a combination of both. See our granite colors and options

Choose a finish — smooth (polished), rough (rock-pitched), or a combination of both. Many families blend the two for a distinctive look.

Decide whether to add a vase, a portrait, or other personal imagery.

Select a pattern or motif. Paul has designs for you to browse, and many families bring a photograph to use as a reference — we can work from that directly. There is no wrong starting point.
When you are ready to begin, Paul and his staff will walk you through every decision at your own pace.
